We believe that quality of life will improve if people can make genuine connections.

The accredited Process Communication Model® program for leaders, managers and coaches:

What is PCM?

The Process Communication Model helps you to observe your own and other people's behavior and understand our different personalities and preferences. Practicing PCM means learning to effectively adapt the things that you say, do, and show, and make the most of every conversation, every situation, every day.

This is how it works

PCM is the premier tool for decoding human interactions. It differentiates among six personality types, which we all have in us: Thinker, Persister, Rebel, Promoter, Harmonizer, and Imaginer. Each type has its own strengths and preferences. A different combination takes center stage in every one of us. Practice PCM in four steps:

What you learn:

  1. Be aware of your personality

Understanding your preferences means knowing what you need to be in a good place. It will help you to manage your stress and take care of yourself.

  1. Recognize what other people do, say, and show

Observing other people's recognizable behavior reveals their preferences and the best way to approach them.

  1. Adapt your communication style

Based on what you observe, you will know what to do, say, and show, so that you can make a genuine connection that works for you both.

  1. Build stronger relationships

With positive daily interactions at work, in meetings, video calls, presentations, social situations - and at home too.

Truly connect to others, build better relations and a better positive working environment

Step 1: start with the Stress-free communication with PCM (PCM 1) training.
Step 2: continue with Motivation and stress management with PCM2.
Step 3a: PCM Coach Certification program is the final step to mastery to apply PCM in coaching, organized by PCM directly.
Step 3b: Another option is to get certified as a trainer with PCM Trainer Certification so that you can train people in PCM.

About PCM

PCM was developed by American clinical psychologist, Dr. Taibi Kahler in the late 1970’s. As a researcher of Transactional Analysis, he discovered universal patterns of distress behavior and identified the conditions that individuals need in order to thrive. In addition, Kahler also discovered six personality types that allows every one of us to predict stress behavior, implement prevention strategies and reinforce positive changes.

Kahler made PCM available for coaches and trainers worldwide, resulting in a network of over 4,000 trainers and coaches in 54 countries. So far, over 1.4 million people have enjoyed the benefits of PCM.

Our partnering PCM-distributors Process Communication Nederland and Kahler Communications Germany are exclusive distributors of the Process Communication Model® for The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. With a thriving community of over 250 certified PCM professionals they support to use the effective tools of PCM to increase the quality of life through effective communication and self-management.

Competence Training Institute, part of Schouten & Nelissen, is proud to be the license partner of PCM to offer the Process Communication Model training programs in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium (Flanders) and Virtual via Zoom.

PCM and Competence both believe that we can choose for positivity, utilizing our differences and making a difference for ourselves and others. Big and small. At work, and at home. Because every conversation can ignite a change.
