You will learn this in Critical thinking

Everybody’s got an opinion. But not all opinions are created equally. To make effective decisions that solve problems, you’ll need to move beyond opinions and emotions alone and apply critical thinking. When you think critically, you put all relevant factors into perspective and identify what’s really at stake. As a result, you’re better positioned to achieve your goals.

Critical thinking isn’t about making robotic calculations and strictly following the numbers. It also incorporates human factors, which are extremely relevant to your plan’s success. Yet being a critical thinker lets you take bolder actions and overcome short-sighted decision-making which may be motivated by fear or resistance to change. This course provides you with the tools you’ll need.

  • Your colleagues benefit from your clear thinking and decision-making
  • Your colleagues see the logic behind your plans and actions
  • Your colleagues are confident that your decisions are well-founded

Some of the topics covered in this course include gaining the confidence and self-empathy to think independently, mastering problematic emotions and getting out of “fight or flight” mode, and putting facts into perspective along with relevant opinions and feelings. You will also work with case studies and games to boost your critical thinking skills, identify and correct common misconceptions about critical thinking, and understand causality while predicting the impacts of your decisions. Additionally, the course will teach you how to leverage constructive feedback using critical thinking.
